Examination TimeThe final examination for our subject has been scheduled on Tuesday, 2nd November 2021 between02:00 PM and 03:15 PM. The online examination paper will be visible on the LMS and the exam mustbe completed online in the given time frame. The examination will automatically close at 03:15 PMwith the answers you have provided. All times in this document are Australian Eastern Daylight Time(AEDT).2. Preparation for the ExaminationBefore the examination starts, please ensure that(1) you have a stable Internet connection.(2) sit the examination by using a desktop or laptop computer. Do not take the examination usingyour mobile phone. This is due to limitations of the LMS.(3) if you are using a mobile phone to provide internet access, ensure that your phone hassufficient battery and data.3. Instructions for the ExaminationThe examination has 15 minutes reading time which is from 02:00 PM to 02:15 PM, and 60 minutesto type your answer into the online LMS exam. During the reading time the lecturer will be able toanswer your queries and will be available in the following zoom link.https://lms.latrobe.edu.au/mod/zoom/view.php?id=5180991During the examination:(1) The exam will be visible on Tuesday, 2nd November 2021 at 2:00 pm.(2) You will be able to move through the questions as you like, there is no sequential answering.(3) Some questions are connected to each other and will be displayed on the same page.(4) The questions are basically small essay type questions, but please make sure your answersare brief and to the point.(5) I strongly encourage you to take the practice exam in your LMS.(6) The exam will be automatically submitted with whatever answers you have entered at03:15 PM4. Examination VenueYou are encouraged to sit the examination at your home or any other place of your preference.The university has setup a limited number of study places on each campus (Bendigo, Bundoora,Chisholm and Sydney) for students who, due to various reasons, must take the examination on campus.If you need to use these study places to sit the examination, please email[email protected]at least three working days before your examination date. In your email, please include your familyname, first name, student ID, subject code, date and time of the examination and a valid reason fortaking the examination on campus. The department will assess each student’s request and informthem if they will be allowed sit the exam on campus.5. Handling Unexcepted CircumstancesWhile we expect that the online examination will go through smoothly, there may be unexceptedcircumstances. These can be internet interruptions or interruptions of any other types. If happensduring the examination, the suggestion is that(1) construct an evidence. Take a screenshot (or a video clip) to record the problem and note thetime.(2) continue the examination if possible.(3) if necessary, apply for special consideration(https://www.latrobe.edu.au/students/admin/forms/special-consideration) immediatelyafter the examination.6. Maintaining Academic Integrity during Online ExaminationAlthough the examination is conducted online and in an unsupervised fashion, students are requiredto demonstrate Academic Integrity.(1) During the examination, use allowable materials only and do not seek assistance from othersources. These includeo seeking solutions (or partial solutions) from the Interneto discussing answers with another persono using a calculator (if not permitted)(2) The examination question paper including individual questions are properties of La TrobeUniversity. They should not be made available for public viewing.
