2. Optimise health outcomes and ensure that people with mental health needs, altered cognition and learning disabilities are supported to live healthy lives and have access to physical health care equal to the general population.
3. Demonstrate accurate history-taking skills, including identification of the presenting problems, precipitating factors, predisposing influences, perpetuating and protective factors relevant to the individual.
4. Adapt and apply knowledge of normal and altered human development, body systems, genomics and immunology across the lifespan to inform a full holistic nursing assessment and develop appropriate person-centred care for people experiencing mental illness.
5. Undertake routine investigations, interpret results, share findings and request additional investigations as appropriate to ensure safe and effective care and treatment of people experiencing a mental illness.
